The Carbon Laser Facial is often known as The Charcoal Facial or The Black Doll Facial due to it’s ability to create a the look of a porcelain doll. It is one of the most advanced treatments for minor skin imperfections and promotes a smooth and glowing complexion. The Carbon Laser Peel Treatment helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles including crows feet. The process is non invasive and pain free.

How does the carbon laser work?

The laser treatment is suitable for all ages 18 upwards and can lighten age spots and dark spots, fade freckles, reduce wrinkles and fine lines, shrink pores, and remove blackheads and acne. It can also lift and tighten the skin, improve elasticity, moisturize and give a bright and radiant complexion.

The principle behind the black doll treatment is that carbon powder possesses a strong capacity to absorb dirt deep within the pores. The face is first coated with carbon nano-particles. Next the laser is passed over the skin. The special black tip laser allows the particles to penetrate deep into pores, shattering the epidermal keratinocytes and dirt. The heat from the laser also enables the carbon powder to be absorbed into the skin, stimulating the skin cells. Regeneration occurs by encouraging growth of collagen and elastic fibres.

The process of the carbon laser

After cleansing the skin with bespoke professional products, Carbon Paste is applied to the face, then high intensity pulses of laser light are delivered which destroys debris clogged in the pores and dead skin cells. This state of the art laser treatment helps refine enlarged pores which reduce oil secretion and helps remove blackheads and whiteheads. The treatment stimulates the face to produce more collagen which helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles. We finish with a tailored massage and professional creams to help improve any skin concerns.

Carbon laser Aftercare

Where possible we advise to leave the skin to breath until the next morning, allowing our products to absorb and protect. Before bed you can cleanse the skin with cotton pads and warm water to remove any of the days dirt then apply your usual night cream or the sample cream you have been given in clinic. It is advised that you use a sun protection cream after treatment during the day with a minimum SPF30. A course of 6 sessions spaced 2 weeks apart is recommended for best results, maintenance treatments are also advised once a month or before a big event thereafter.

What is Tattoo Removal?

Does it hurt?

The treatment is very similar to being tattooed. We apply topical anesthetic to numb the skin prior to treatment.

How long does a treatment take?

A treatment takes around 30 to 45 minutes to cover a 2” x 2” tattoo (4 square inch area).

How soon will I see the results?

Many tattoos require more than one treatment; however, the results are very impressive with #Glam Studio and a tattoo can be completely removed in just a matter of months.

After Treatment Care:

A bandage is applied over the treated area and should be left in place and kept dry for the first 48 hours following the treatment. The bandage should NOT be airtight. The bandage should allow for air to get to the treated area allowing a scab to form and harden. The scab must be kept dry until it naturally falls off and flakes away, which will take between one or two weeks. The scab should not be picked off or scratched during the healing process as this could lead to some permanent scarring. As with any treatment that punctures the skin there is a risk of infection. The area should therefore be kept clean and dry until the skin has properly healed. If there are any signs of infection you should consult your primary care physician.
